My friend Mark Stevens, a master blogger, encouraged me to create a blog about the China trip…so here we go. Right now, I’m in the packing stage. That means putting t-shirts and tank tops in the suitcase, taking them out and replacing them with different ones. I’m also writing sticky note lists of things that have to get done before I leave.  I cross off one item and think of two more. I’m so looking forward to this trip after such a long wait for a Chinese grandchild. The trepidation of coming home with two toddlers on a 13-hour flight is almost totally overshadowed by the eagerness to bring Dian into our family and the excitement of seeing China, which has long been on my bucket list.
